Flare and Web3Auth Join Forces to Simplify Web3 Wallet Access

Flare, a blockchain for data that supports the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), has announced a strategic partnership with Web3Auth, a leading wallet-as-a-service (WaaS) provider for Web2 and Web3 apps.

This partnership plans to simplify access to Web 3 apps and services using email and social login credentials, without the need for seed phrases or browser extensions.

The flare blockchain which underwent a heavy upgrade last month to enhance the features of the platform, introduced a host of enhancements that included easy wallet accessibility features.

About Web3Auth

Web3Auth is a decentralized identity and authentication protocol that allows users to create and access Web3 wallets using their existing email or social media accounts.

Users can also link multiple wallets to their Web3Auth account, and switch between them easily. Web3Auth provides a seamless and secure user experience for Web 3 and non-Web3 users.

About Flare

Flare is a blockchain that leverages the Federated Byzantine Agreement (FBA) consensus mechanism to achieve high scalability, low fees, and interoperability with other networks.

Flare also integrates the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), which enables smart contracts and decentralized applications (DApps) to run on Flare with minimal changes.

It is designed to support data-intensive use cases such as gaming, NFTs, DeFi, and Oracle networks.

With this integration, users of Flare wallets will be able to sign in using their email or social login credentials, without having to remember or store seed phrases.

They can also link their existing wallets, such as MetaMask or Ledger, to their Web3Auth account and switch between them easily.

For a start, this will reduce the friction and complexity of using Web 3 apps and services, and increase the adoption of Web 3 wallets.

Developers who utilize the features of both platforms will also benefit from both in terms of high scalability, low fees, interoperability, data-intensive use cases, EVM compatibility, security, privacy, and convenience.

They will now be able to create innovative and engaging Web3 experiences that cater to both Web3 and non-Web3 users.
