Amazon Prime Is Giving Away Free Gaming NFTs

Amazon Prime subscribers have a new perk to enjoy: free card packs for the popular blockchain-based trading card game Gods Unchained.

The game, developed by Immutable, lets players collect, trade, and battle with digital cards that are represented as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the Ethereum network.

According to a blog post by Decrypt, Amazon Prime members can claim one free card pack every month for six months, starting from November 2023.

Each pack contains five cards of varying rarity and can be used to build decks and compete in the game. The cards are fully owned by the players and can be sold or traded on the open market.

Gods Unchained is one of the most popular NFT games, with over 1.5 million cards minted and over $10 million worth of cards traded since its launch in 2019.

The game features a rich lore and a competitive scene, with tournaments and prizes for the best players. The game also supports scaling solutions like Immutable X, which enable fast and gas-free transactions for the cards.

To claim the free card packs, Amazon Prime members need to link their Prime Gaming account with their Gods Unchained account, and then redeem the code provided by Amazon.

The code can be used to open the pack in the game or the Gods Unchained website

This is not the first time that Amazon has partnered with an NFT game to offer free items to its Prime subscribers.

In August 2021, Amazon announced a six-month deal with Mojo Melee, a web-based auto battler game that also uses Polygon NFTs for its characters.

The partnership allowed Amazon Prime subscribers to claim a free character and in-game currency every month for Mojo Melee.

With an estimated 170 million Prime subscribers, Amazon has the potential to introduce millions of new users to the world of web3 gaming and NFTs.

As the sector evolves and innovates, Amazon’s role as a distribution partner and a possible marketplace provider could be significant.
